Great day for a walk up the Locust Mountain! Temperatures in the 50's and mostly sunny. There was a slight breeze from the south, however, the sun negated any coolness.Spotted were some trail riders, riding 4-wheel ATVs and some dirt bikes. When all was quiet, a wild turkey came out into the open.
Although it looks like winter along the treeline, the season is warmer than usual and no snow since Halloween.
A few new trails were found. They may be new dirt bike trails. Nonetheless, they were nice walking trails.
I had to traverse a bolder field on the side of the mountain. This was challenging due to some loose stones.
All-in-all, not a bad afternoon for a hike in the Pennsylvania hills.
