Short hike on a cold December day

Today was cold, but a sunny day in eastern PA. Deer hunting is over as of yesterday, so the woods are open to hiking and trail running again. Some streams and drainage areas showed the signs of cold with ice building on the grasses and trees. The woods were quiet and the warming sun kept the hike comfortable. Holiday vacation time will provide more opportunities to hike and fish before the year is out. More to come...
